Far East?
Stripped for parts and the frames end up being destroyed?
You'd think with the number that get stolen worldwide that someone somewhere must have tried to make a warranty claim on one of them?
Unless the frame numbers are removed?
Parts go towards those amazing bargains on ebay and gumtree...
"unwanted gift" or "replacing my trusty misnamed and poorly described item" plus unscrupulous buyer = ๐
(or to other countries if it's a big load of brand new stuff ?)
One of mine made it onto ebay in a mispelt advert with awful photos and a one line description. Interestingly it was a 1 day auction and I only just caught it. Called the Police and they went around as they 'knew' the seller.
The seller is being charged with handling stolen goods and the Police have gone back through their ebay account and all the 30 buyers of bikes from him over the last 15 months are being visited and the bikes checked against the stolen property register.
I was thinking more about the stuff that gets robbed from shops or the Lampre Team's recent robbery.
