Ok bring on the flames but I just want to confirm ive routed the chain correctly back through the rear mech after snapping the last one!! Looking at the mech face on, under the lower jockey obviously then head off slightly right to ride just against the upper jockey! However there's a metal plate mid way between the two wheels that the chain is running over, is this right, seems odd for metal to be running on metal. Thanks for the help (and abuse) in advance!!

Not right, the chain runs on the other side of the plate, and shouldn't touch it(they used to run on the other side on older mech's, if that's what you used as an example).

Chain goes above the metal plate then under upper jockey, should be no rub.

Its definately running on the right side of the metal plate before going up to the top jockey, and therefore rubbing on it. Lbs have fannyed about with this bike many times and I'm just wondering if that's why it is showing as tho its been routed this way before.

Chain on the wrong side of the cage metal tab - easy mistake. Shop should know better! Break chain and re-route to go behind the tab. It won't rub.

I bloody knew it was wrong! God knows how long its been running like that. So just to clarify as we look at the mech, the chain should run to the left of the mid tab?? Thanks again stw!
