Before I pull the trigger on a new M780 XT rear mech, is there such a thing as a 10 speed Medium cage SLX rear mech? I prefer SLX mechs, but I've only managed to find long cage ones.
Anyone?

What do you want a medium cage for?

It's for a 1x10 setup, shorter cage just means slightly lower profile and a little less chain and mech cage to slap around.

Haven't seen any GS versions but wouldn't a 9spd GS version still work with 10spd?

9 speed is for 9 speed. 10 speed is for 10 speed.

Andy's right, not cross-compatible.
There's no GS SLX on the Madison dealer site.
