I know theres the halfords/bikehut "carrera" thats actualy an M3/M6
And ive seen the Pitch with the 36's.
But has anyone gone to the extent of striping their frame's stickers off and putting say appolo stickers on it, and re badging it as an appollo, or putting DMN/chili/RST stickers on your forks?
Its not a very obvious bike already (DMR switchback, podercoated red, magura forks). So i was wondering, if i removed the mavic stickers from the rims, put some appolo stickers on the frame, and generaly make it look 'cheep' would it be less obvious to thieves? Not much i can do with easton bars, XT cranks and XTR brakles though. My mum (i.e. someone who doesnt read MTB mag's) thinks it looks quite cheep already, and it tends to be only people who've been riding for years and probaby owned a trailstar that pick up what it is without asking.
Reason being im moving house soon and it probably wont be the nicest of areas, and wont be able to keep it inside, so looking at one of those big metal boxes for the garden.
