Off for a weekend in Keswick next weekend
Whinlatter on saturday, considering going up Friday, arriving early/mid afternoon and going up Skiddaw and biking down (assuming decent weather)
Whats it like?
Rideable for 'slightly below average but has attended a Jedi day Joe'?
How long to ride/walk up?
I was thinking of getting up there so I would be riding down at dusk so what time would I need to be setting off roughly?

Also whats the best way to ride to Whinlatter from Keswick town centre and any other local riding around the forest area to extend the day?

(Yes I know there is all of the lakes but thats for another trip)

If you do Skiddaw in the afternoon then youll need to leave town by 3 at the very latest. Itll take you 1 1/2 - 2 hours up taking it steady, the hardest bit is the walk from the gate at the bottom of Jenkin Hill to the top. You can then ride behind Little Man to the last gate, then it`s another walk. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

(Though i have cleared the lot twice )

Take a desent light with you as you may be in the dark near the bottom, assuming you`ll do Ullock?

I just hope the weather holds for you! ๐Ÿ™„
