Wife just made me a huge dinner of steak pie, cabbage, peas carrots mash and roasties, really didn't want it but couldn't bring myself to say anything! Left a few peas and carrots!!

Enjoyed it so much more than mayhem!

Did it solo(22 laps), great course(alot of singletrack) and the most unlike Catton conditions. Bone dry and dusty. Did it on a hardtail which has left me very sore, lots of rock hard ruts and bumps. Think its the best in the 5 years I've been doing it !

Started off in pairs, but my mate pulled his knee so had to go solo; managed 15 on my own for a grand total of 20 laps in the category :(. It was a good course with some good singletrack sections and the weather was perfect.

Well done Manchester Wheelers(2nd)

Not racing but I did get in a couple of laps, thought the course was fantastic. LOADS of singletrack, a fast dusty course and great weather.

Some bits of single track were stupid - the silly bit (like a VERY TIGHT s bend and where they left a couple of saplings in the main drag)

Only proper gripe - the braking bumps!!

Did it in a mixed team(dottys crew)11t

Manchester Mountain Bikers mixed team here...10th spot ๐Ÿ˜›

did well considering one of our lot injured himself & couldn't ride, so there were 4 of us + a mate who knocked a few laps out just so we could have a few extra moments rest.

good course, really enjoyed bouncing off trees towards the end!

Did someone rip that ****ing whiplash sapling out in the end ?
Great event much more chilled than Mayhem.
Fell asleep at the bars at 3am in the first singletrack section ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Good times.
Postie much faster without facial fluff ๐Ÿ˜†

Excellent event, great weekend, amazing weather and a very good and enjoyable circuit.

The only people who moan about courses are those who are poor at riding!

Ciao

First time solo for me 16 laps all on a hard tail, no going back to the team events now!

Thanks to all the riders and spectators for their support, it was quite ovewhelming at times

Best SiTS course ever. Well done everyone.

Well that was my first 24 hour event and not done any other major events in mtb.....but....

I loved it, got a real buzz from it all. I thought the course was very good and most of the singletrack was great! Well done to the organisers, great job!

Having the right team mate makes a big difference.....I even kept my sense of humour throughout the 24 hours!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Highlight of the weekend for me.....going to bed at 2am, then waking up and riding through the darkness turning into light, with the misty and calm atmosphere... roll on next year!

I didn't race (I am injured) but popped up to have a look. I was surprised to see the spaces in the camping field as it's usually rammed.

I was a very jealous having competed the last 4 years.

yeah it was definitely much quieter than usual. the top field had no-one in and i've had to pitch up there the past couple of years.

not my first 24hr but first solo and managed 16 laps which beat my target by 1 so very happy this morning although a little sore!!! The course was GREAT and better that last year. Will be back in 2011 ๐Ÿ˜€

I did it solo on my singlespeed, managed 14 laps. I was hoping for 15 but realized at 1:30am I'd lost 2 chainring bolts so had to faff looking for some replacments (friend sacrificed his for me). I then lost the motivation for it so went to bed for a few hours.

Everyone was really nice and friendly on the course, no 'warrior' types trying to get past at ridiculous moments. Loads of people gave me encouragement (and commented that I must be mental).

Great dry and fun course. Did it as a pair this year which was different, 22 laps. Definitely better in the dry, great banter around the course - brilliant event.

I went. I didn't actually 'do it', well, I did for a bit, but then I didn't.
I think I had more fun once I'd dropped out and could sit around drinking beer ๐Ÿ™‚

like a VERY TIGHT s bend and where they left a couple of saplings in the main drag

Nowt wrong with the occasional sharp turn, unless it spoilts the flow of an otherwise great bit of trail. Which it didn't, 'cos most of the singletrack's looking very tired now...I remember making a lot of those ruts and holes in the tight, twisty bits a few years back!

I did it, last minute joined mol grips in flying donkeys, really enjoyed it, riding rigid(ish).
Course was good, but I wanted some rain or the braking bumps to go away, there were lots of braking bumps where braking wasn't necessary in my view ๐Ÿ™‚ I definitely took a battering.

Great to meet some people off the forum and put a face to names, Postierich and a few others introduced themselves.

I think I even managed to show a few people that Jones's aren't only good for shopping.

Shame there were no prizes for biggest tyre, I think that was my only chance of worrying a podium ๐Ÿ˜€

Finally thanks to my team good effort under the circumstances.

I literally rode 'til I puked. DNF at 28 and a half laps.

After a troubled start I went for it during the night and got from 6th or up to 2nd. From the info I was getting I was only 10 minutes behind Roy Davies so I had a pop at bringing the gap down.

That was my undoing and after a few laps of pushing and clawing a few minutes my body didn't want to know anymore and packed up. By the last few hours I was crawling round trying to hang on to second and then I found a nice secluded spot to be very, very ill.

Big thanks to the Ragley Boys; Jason, Wayne and Dave for helping with pit support after they'd retired. Shame you guys had to call it a day but you've an awesome season, I think you deserved a beer!

You might have ridden up a section with me at one point, some chap said him and his mate were in 5th in the pairs. He had a blueish kit IIRC, I had "TEAM CAKE" on my jersey and was riding a Heckler.
