Morning peeps

I'm nearly there with my swift build - alfine, halo freedom rims & twin rail 2.2s, magura julie carbons, alfine crankset, thomson/syncros bits & bobs, charge knife etc. Just need a couple more bits and then its all systems go.

Show me some pics of your swifts please, i'm getting impatient ๐Ÿ™‚

And for anyone interested 29er Conti MK2.4 = great volume and traction in pretty much any terrrain barring tree roots, MK2.2 = poor volume and traction. Both run tubeless. Just buy the 2.4.

Can someone explain the droppy bars to me? I'm not being critical, I just don't really get what they are for on a mountain bike.

imo it rides better with them then again if i could have drops on all my mtb i would but it requires silly stems and odd things to make hydro brakes work

It's a Gryphon, not a Swift, but I just fancied showing off a little bit ๐Ÿ™‚

JoeNation

How do you rate the Brooks saddle? Is that a Ti or Cromo one? Very tempted but want to hear someones experince of them first.

Cheers

Sanny

PS Nice bike you have there.............it just looks right! ๐Ÿ˜€

Sanny, that's a cromo B17 Narrow that I trimmed down (gives it more spring and doesn't rub on your thighs). It's the best saddle I've ever owned, by far. Super comfy right out of the box, and it's only getting better. Saddle bag loops are great (not that anyone other than Brooks makes proper saddle bags any more). Only real problems are the weight and the need to wear padded shorts. Although I'd consider buying a new one if it was ti and green (to match the Gryphon).

JoeNation - ever heard of Carradice? Think they might have something to say about no one except Brooks making real saddle bags any more. Don't Ortlieb too? (The answer to that is no,only wedge style packs).

Join the CTC, you'll be amazed at what you can "still" get from their bimonthly mag.

Fair point, I did know Carradice still made them. But apart from those two... ๐Ÿ™‚
