Anyone ever fitted a carbon fat fork to a puffin - looks like a weight saving but the rake is different - 55 on the steel puffin fork and most carbon are at 45 ish ? Any thoughts on how much this could slow down the handling ? Anyone recommend a specific fork ? Thanks ....

I run my puffin with an surly ICT fork (47mm offset)
Seems to ride really nice , although I've not ridden it with the original forks for reference .
I also ran an oo Fatty with a salsa 47mm offset and found that fine too

Built my Puffin up with a on-one carbon fork. I'm pretty sure its the same angle and offset as the original steel one, hence the reason to use it. Steering is pretty much spot on. Saved a bit of weight and cash, on-one sale last year.

The only thing to look out for is the ( not sure if this is the correct terminology ) hub spacing offset. It's rear wheel so I had to adjust my brake mount to cater for the offset.

The only thing I'm not keen on is the colour scheme, orange decal. Was going to rub it down to remove the orange decal and spray it matt black, too busy riding it though.
