[Closed] Singular Kite Anyone?

[#5247448]

I have been riding a Jake the Snake for a few years and think it is time for a change. My frame is just a tad too long (I already have a shortish stem so can't really adjust that way) and well, as a sort of Singular fan boy, I'm sort of drawn to the Kite.

I plan to race (I have planned to race for years now) but what I like most is blasting round some of my local mtb trails on a crosser - it sort of brings back that 'barely under control' feel without all the peril associated with going too fast! I'd also be taking day road/off road trips out on it.

So, does anyone have one and if so, what are your opinions? Is there anything else (steel) I should be considering in that price range?

Ian Barrington's kite is a thing of beauty:

James sent me that page too. Nothing there to compare with the Kite though!
