[Closed] Reducing travel on Fox Floats

I have an old pair of Fox F100s lying around doing nothing... I also have a (recumbent) road bike with rigid forks and rear suspension that I'd quite like to try with bouncy forks.

So the question is this: Given that the current forks have an AC height much shorter than the F100s, and as it's a road bike I don't really want much suspension anyway, can I space the Foxes down by more than 20mm? Could I use three spacers and drop them down to 40mm travel, for instance? How about four spacers? Obviously the last might be considered a little extreme! 😆
