[#775705]

I have just bought a singlespeed Genesis IO 2007 however the front chainring is to large. I am looking at replacing it with a 32t ring up front. The crank has four bolt points. Does anybody know if a standard four bolt 32t middle ring will do the job??

Should do, as long as it's the right BCD. The ring that's on there now might have the BCD on it somewhere if you're not sure, but would've thought a standard MTB ring would go.

Yes but "standard" ring has ramps to aid shifting which you don't need. Try an old one and see how you get on with the new ratio. Then buy something nice ๐Ÿ™‚

Will the ramps affect the performance in any way?

Thanks

If your chain's not tight then the ramps can make the chain come off more easily. Only a (slight) problem if you're using a tensioner (doofer). Which you're not.
