My Shimano one is really draggy and seems to be causing my chain to jump from time to time.

Are White Industries really worth the extra?

Is there anything inbetween shimano and WI in terms of price and quality?

Thanks

Well, I tried a slightly better than Shimano BMX one. Might have been a Dicta or something. It lasted about the same length as the Shimano one - for me, about 3 months.

Then I jumped right in and bought the White Industries one and it's been flawless! Never had to service it after several years, it just keeps going and going. I reckon it's one of the few 'fit-and-forget' items I have, which means it will probably bite me in the ass shortly :-/

Yes, go for a White Industries - worth the extra. ACS Claw is 'alright' but you'll buy four or five in the time it takes to wear out a WI.
If you chain is jumping, are you sure your tension is OK? Might also have a chainring that's slightly out of whack. Describe the symptoms, could ya?

But back on topic, a White Industries freewheel is worth it - it's a bit fit-and-forget, but also servicable as and when you need to.

Thinking about it, I suspect jumping is due to insufficient chain tension.

WI it looks like then

Thanks

Pretty sure you want a Park FR-6, can't see one on CRC.

White Industries are not fit and forget if you ride in filth but are servicable!
