Hi,

can anyone recommend a single speed specific boost rear wheel please? Where can I get one ? I’ve used the spacers and cog in a standard hub in the past but want to do it properly to prolong the bearing life of the hub.

I can’t really recommend one and personally think you are better off sticking to a regular hub but if you need 148x12 Pinion do one with the short HG freehub

How will bearing life be improved?

I remember having a look and not being able to find any SS 148 hubs, do let me know if you find some!

You might be better getting a 142 with a boost adaptor on, the hope pro4 single speed for example.

Main advantage of the pinion h2r (they have a h3r now too but it has less engagement points and is built tougher) are the symmetrical hub flanges letting you build a tougher wheel, with equal spoke tension.

I think Paul's components make one.
