take it 30.9 in the dropper diameter?

depends on you frame for the seat clamp size , alloy tube with be thicker than steel for example.

Might be an idea to mention what bike you have

What size front mech clamp do you have? Its the same as that, most likely 34.9 on an ally frame

Ooops! Its a Marin Wolf Ridge 6.8 2009 model ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Just googled the bike and haven't found anyhting about the external seat tube diameter. The seatpost diameter is 30.9, not the internal seat tube diameter.

If they're not the same, you have a problem ๐Ÿ™‚

Well yeah, but the internal seatube diameter isn't going to be exactly 30.9mm is it? I work in engineering manufacturing and i know enough that 30.9 won't go into 30.9! ๐Ÿ˜›

Actually, i wonder what the tolerance is...

Google search (Marin Wolfridge seat clamp diameter) and up pops STW top of the page! But I am at work sitting in a hotel in deepest darkest West Africa (Nigeria) with nothing better to do!
