Got a case for my ipod, doesn't fit that well. Tried hairdryer and boiling water. Microwave?

OK microwave didn't do much. With the pattern of if heat doesn't work, try something hotter, should I preheat the oven?

AFAIK Silicone will not shrink with the application of heat.

Various people on the internet with bad spelling would disagree. Although some say freezing would make it shrink too.

I've already got a refund on the way, so I figure I might as well try everything before chucking it in the bin.
