I know this has been asked a million times and I've done the searches too but I think the cycle2work landscape has changed this year as I cannot find a £1000 carbon road bike anywhere that Halfords can supply. I've requested Ribble and Wiggle but because they're part of different schemes Halfords aren't having any of it and the Boardman Pro has gone up to £1200.
Can anyone put my mind at rest and tell me either way cos I think my brain's melting from all the searching.
Thanks!
planet x, wait for a deal on the boardman to appear, canyon or cube (a guess, I don't have a clue..), verenti, and haven't crc brought something out?
The only one they may be a able to get is the Dolan Mythos
Looks like the answer is no, even the Dolan goes over a grand now. Oh well, never mind... 👿
last years boardman might be in stock? shows at £999 on halfords online site
If you can find one of the 2010 Team Carbons in your size and you already have your C2W voucher it would be worth travelling to pick it up.
I got one a couple of months ago and it's very impressive.
Road bikes last for ages because you don't get idiots doing drop offs/riding them into trees like those mountain biking crazies. So maybe pick up a second hand deal off ebay?
Having said that why not a Ribble bike, they looks super value allthough I'd probably spend more than a grand to get decent wheels/105 group set
Decathalon have one for £899 I believe (was in this month's cycling plus)

you could get the alu one and swap the frame? frames come up on ebay quite frequently.
You guys do realise that he needs to get it through Halfords via C2W don't you?
