buy some 3M snap velcro (ebay £10 per meter) then use that to attach camera to frame tubes etc...
heres 3 films using different mountings
[url=

using fork mounted(pointing up and down,
downtube near headtube,
rear chainstay disc side looking back (can be pointed forward too)
down tube above cranks..used rotate 90 or 180 degree on movie maker,
mounts on front and rear racks, rear is 360 so can film stuff as you ride by like the old submarmines or the sea here...
this [url=

film uses same and also the front and rear mechs working
for a good sense of speed mount camera above front tyre ...the endomorph cam!

in the 2nd vid, why are you constantly reeling in a fishing line?

or is it a CK Hub? 😉

RD.

The King hub does sound a bit loud doesn't it. I think it resonates through the frame into the camera casing.

Chest mount has produced some good videos on here in the past. I don't own a camera myself though

mine are here, mounted under the down tube

fork view

they're not brilliant, but I'm still experimenting with mounts.

I'm not a fan of helmet mounted vids, they seem to lose the sense of speed and drama.

One here from the swing arm on my Five

and one on the top tube

For the top tube vid, the camera is mounted in a twofish, bikeblock on the side of the top tube, towards the rear end to get the angle right, it's a bit close to my legs, but any further forward and it points the camera to the sky.

Stu the truss fork is a great place to mount a camera.

My only attempt so far came out crap though so I won't share it here 😳

mount Pointed down a bit you get to see your forks working...

(No need to comment on the hardcore content...)

This one's stem mount...

My preferred option, gives a good impression of speed and roughness, and if you're careful to mount it as close to the steerer as possible the horrible left-right yaw a bar mount gives is reduced. Sometimes it can be very unstable, but then I think that's not always a bad thing, it's sometimes nice to have that sensation of impact and chaos. It's my standard option, since it's quite well protected from mud and is easily accessed. Though as you can see, I do tend to end up with hoses etc in shot, the wide angle on the Hero is brilliant but it can be inconvenient sometimes.

For group riding I go with helmet mount but as's been said, you lose a lot of the sensation of speed, and there's no connection to the trail at all, it's like you're magically floating over it rather than riding it. But the view's good.

Testing 2 of the mounts I have made up one under the saddle and the other is lower down near the pedals.
