Not happy with my cable for my XT front mech, seems no matter how I route it ([u]after the wire fixing bolt[/u]) it hits the chain.
Routed from the top, let's see your close up pix please

Put a bend in the cable just past the fixing bolt.

I've tucked out the back plate for now. Photo is a bit deceiving as wheel is out and chain isn't on rings.

Ahh sorry, thought mine looked different I have the 785 with the nut in the [s]correct[/s] other side.
