They DO look gopping. However aesthetically beautiful doesn't mean it does what its supposed to do well.

I think Giant make some ugly bikes (all of them)- yet apparently they are good to ride.

I like the way they look. I think there is a certain "form following function aesthetic" going on and at least they come in interesting colours.

It does seem that anything that looks a bit different is going to be accused of looking ugly though. But, twas ever so.

my last couple of bikes where marins, back to the old rock springs, wolf ridge & lastly an attack trail.....none overly nice bits of kit but good strong bikes...

the orange is a bit bigger travel wise and i just feel confident thats its not gonna crumble below me on the DH tracks...that said, i think the five and the alpine look great 🙂

Last Xmas I nearly bought a spanking el gaupo frame for £599 as I really liked the look of them .
But instead bought a very nice 3 year old five frame for a little under £500 as I thought a bike that ugly would have to be blinking brilliant.

Older one broke. Second one didn't. Actually preferred older one even when the front and back ends weren't going in the same direction. Flawed but fun.
