That is, 'custom hardtail framed bikes' On Ones, Cotics, & all other 'not custom frames' don't count.

Here's mine, fillet brazed Tange Prestige Fleet.

Thanks, that is the most commented on thing ๐Ÿ™‚ - painted them at work with the frame - which was the actual one (satin black demo) that STW tested in the mag.

The DB didn't work out unfortunately, real shame but that's another story altogether!

Cheers

OP - clear helicopter tape would look better than faux carbon patches.

Nice welds mind!

Another fillet brazed Roberts, this time one of those in-vogue rigid 29ers, but perhaps not exactly the kind of hardtail you were thinking of? ๐Ÿ˜‰

(Roberts Audax Custom circa 2006, fillet brazed Columbus Nivacrom)

Seeing as Flamejob hasn't spotted this, I'll do him the honours
[img] [/img]
I believe this frame was designed by flamejob and custom built in Taiwan for him. Looks really nice I think, Retro with modern bits.

the guy from xacd Porter can be pushy and a bit rude, but that is often how they are over there,,
they draw up your ideas and ask you to sign off the drawing, dont let them pressure you , get it right, i am very fussy about little bits like cable stops etc,,
i nust have gone through about 5 drawing versions before i was totaly happy,, they guy (or gal) who does the drawing is on the ball and understands more than Porter often i would draw up a change and porter would not understand and require some clarification but before i had a chance to reply a new correct drawing would arrive
my bike was more expensive than most from there as my dropout design was expensive to produce and there is an upcharge for all those bent tubes but thats what i wanted
