[#6269552]

So the opportunity has presented itself to possibly get a new frame. So looking for some inspiration. Must be 650B as swapping kit form the other bike, ideally 160mm, though 150 a possibility as have bits to sort the pike out. It'll be raced (relatively unsuccessfully) and used regularly on the steep and sloppy stuff. Though ideally not so heavy that I rupture a lung trying to get it up the hill, I do actually enjoy a good climb.

So lets see 'em, we all know posting a picture of your pride and joy is almost as good as riding it.

Cheers

Keep em coming, really like the look of those banshees.

If anyone has a tracer 275 I'd like to see it, or a knolly warden. Although all things considered!

While we're having this little 650b love in (and I assume no 'outsiders' will be paying any attention), has anyone actually noticed a difference over 26ers hell, even 29ers, that they can attribute to the size of the wheel?

*whispers*

Cos I'm buggered if I can.....

I think they roll up and over roots etc on technical climbs a bit better

But its hard to attribute that to wheel size as its a totally new bike

It's 650b but not 160mm travel. 125mm and 140 on front is working for me.

Kimbers - did you have the 26" bandit before the 275? If so, how's the float x compared to the normal CTD (although I appreciate the 275 is 140mm/ diff wheel size/geo etc) for bottoming out?

Matthew01

Its a Kona process 153.

With a dhx modified by avalanche and its awesome !

Never had a bandit but friend swapped out the ctd for a cc dB air and he loves that

Sorry kimbers...could have sworn it was a new bandit! Thinking the exact same with ccdb as the stock CTD is just not cutting it. Has your mate got the standard air or air cs?

But yes, some nice bikes.

And Philbert, your bike is making me experience strange and unfamiliar feelings towards Nicolais.

I know people moan about "New Standards" and "marketing lead" design being a PITA, but wow, you've only got to look at the bikes in this thread to see we've never had it so good! Not a duff bike anywhere to be seen!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Maybe a little "small" for #enduro but it's ***kin quick downhill so far and no slouch uphill either

@Potdog - Loving that Kingdom AM - somehow a titanium full-susser enduro bike appeals.

However, for the next few years (whilst I save up!), I have this, which has shrugged off everything I've thrown at it (apart from a dinged rear rim an Antur...)

Sorry to ask, why is the Santa Cruz so popular ? I thought we might see some orange 5 's, trance's etc.
I'm looking for something with more travel and tougher than my anthem, maybe the Santa Cruz is an option..

Enjoying the ride except for two minor issues, rubbish cable routing (without frame protection in place you will saw the seat tube off after a few rides!) and no where sensible to put a bottle.
