I have a giant xtc which has turned into my commuter bike. I never go off roading any more as my wife does not allow it. Should I sell it and buy a road bike? Please give me some advice!!!!!!!!

Thanks

split up with wife, sell all possesions, buy a Kona Ute and travel the world, living off the road.

Its advice, its not good advice, but its definately advice.

Can I ask why the wife wont allow it?

oh and more important why you take notice of the wife?

There might be a very sensible explanation?

you might as well just sell your testicles too while you're at it, you're clearly not using them

Get a new wife.

Sorry, a road bike of hybrid will suit your commuting requirements but

I never go off roading any more as my wife does not allow it
...WTF?? ๐Ÿ˜•

Cup of tea anyone? I have many varieties: white, two types of green, earl grey, mixed fruit. Even one with aniseed in it.

Shortbread biscuit?

I'd be getting your wife to rent out her flower, because you don't have anything that will be troubling it in the future...

Very strange.
Must admit to being intrigued as to why she won't allow it. And why you put up with it.
If my wife tried to stop me riding she'd be talking to the door as I would have hopped on the bike and pedalled off. But she wouldn't because she loves me and knows how much I enjoy riding my bike. ๐Ÿ˜†
Advice - if you like riding your MTB tell her that's what you're gonna do. Then do it.

thanks for all the advice. its the spending money she won't allow not the off roading! the only riding i'm doing is the commute so think a road bike would suit better.

I've spoken to your wife and she has said no. It will be too expensive to buy another bike.

Sell the bike. And all your male centric clothing. They all deserve better homes.

Stomp around in a deep depression for a week - ride bike - come home happy - slip back into depression - ride bike etc etc

Seriously, don't sell it unless it is made from solid gold or copper.
