I know its each to his own but if I wore knee pads the pisstaking would never cease from my mates

I use them for downhilling and jumping, and will probably start using them for any xc than involves more than riding in a field. Knees are awkward for healing and are usually the first point of contact with the ground.. I use 661 Kyle Straits, after a few minutes you forget they're on but taking them off you realise how sweaty they get, mine reek after a couple of rides ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I actually wore them on my road bike last winter as our roads were quite icy ๐Ÿ˜†

Well, I'm tending towards the Troy Lee KG5400 at the moment, as they look the most likely to stay cool in the hot summers here. Can anyone tell me if they were covered in the MBR review - if so, how did they rate?

Also, anyone found them to stretch in use? I'm right on the border between their medium and large, and with no straps or velcro to tighten, I'm worried any stretch would render them useless. Thanks.
