[#1216943]

I currently have a Yeti 575 with full XT kit on it.

I'm thinking about changing it all for XTR.

Should I do it to add a little bling to the bike, or is it a waste of money & effort?

If bits need doing then why not. Otherwise I wouldn't bother, sit tight until 10 speed XTR next year and get that.

Prices may well have come down too, they've just dropped slightly.

If you want to, and you can afford it, why not? If I win the lottery I'll do it, just to see what all the fuss is about...

All of the XT stuff is working fine (most of it about 1 year old).

njee - I like your thinking about the 10 speed, good call.

come to the conclusion, no point upgrading unless you want the bling factor, plus the XT brakes are better than the XTR ones.

Staying with XT.

Case Closed!

Stay with XT. IMO XTR is a waste of money, unless you are a professional racer out to save every gram possible. The money would be better off spent on a holiday, or a coaching course etc etc

Yep, staying with XT.

Holiday, don't talk to me about holidays. I due to fly to the Dominican Republic (same island as Haiti) next week.
