Right, I have a pair of new deore discs and the cables are way too long. I've cut one to the correct length but cannot get the replacement pin(?)all the way in to the freshly cut cable. Is there a knack to doing this correctly because i'm really struggling.

are they Oem?
Full kits come with two pieces of yellow plastic that you use to clamp the hose and olive with so you can tap in the pin.

they have the bits of plastic - had no idea what they were for though. need to find some instructions with a picture now i guess.

Can also use some plastic hose clips carefully in a vice, just be carefull not to crush the hose
