Intermittent and drives me nuts at times! SPD-type pedals plus carbon-sole Mavic shoes - thought it may have been the sole rubber tread squeeking against the pedal at the cleat interface so got out the dremel to trim the tread - issue is better but still not gone. Any suggestions?

Only cycle in the rain - the water soon gets rid of it. Or, seek out puddles.

Have been having a squeaky pedal all week. Found today it wont go round. Seems the lock nut on the Shimano 540 pedal has wound itself in !
Re-adjusted and tightened. Hope thats the noise I was getting. Was thinking it was shoe to pedal and brushing my shoes into wet grass to try that before clipping back in, but it didnt help sadly.
