With all the air out of the shock, should you be able to compress it enough to ease the O-ring off the shaft?? IMy RS Debonair plus fitted to a MK2 Nomad doesn't. It stops short of the end of the shaft by about 3-4mm.

Also seems the air pressure charts are miles out, I know they should be taken with a pinch of salt, but I've had to put in an extra 35psi.. It's all been set up as per the RS video a couple of times and coming to the same result. Maybe there is an issue with the shock (it's only 2weeks old) which will be a PITA

Cheers

Carlos

You'll probably only knock the o ring off the shaft with a hard compression whilst on the bike.

You've still got a rubber bottom out bumper in there to compress

And with debonair you need to balance negative and positive pressure so don't just bump it up til you think the sag is right

Mk2 Nomad has a shock stroke of 2.5"
Just measure the distance from the Oring to the seal.
It may be that the shaft is longer than the stroke.
My Fox X2 has a 50mm stroke but a 57mm shaft. Makes it look like it's not getting full travel as the Oring never gets near the end of the shaft.
