I have a set of XT disc brakes fitted with goodridge braided hoses. I'm looking to trim a bit of them, what do I need? Any good video guides or online step by steps?

Cheers

Spanner for the fittings, maybe two if you need to lock/unlock them together, stanley knife for trimming back the sleeve (11mm if I remember correctly) and a pair of sharp cutters such as those for gear cables.
The basic fitting procedure is the same(but some brakes need extra adaptors to work), cut to required length, trim back sleeve, slide outer fitting on, screw inner fitting into hose(make sure hose is round or it's difficult to start)and it'll then start screwing itself into the outer fitting, make sure it's fully in and then lock the outer tight against it. Fit into lever and bleed.

Trimming the sleeve is no longer recommended according to the Goodridge fitting instructions.
