Hi STW,

I've got a cheapy front wheel on my commuter and the bearings are making a bit of a growl, despite a re-grease and tighten up, its a M475 hub, but i'm unsure as to where and what bearings i'd get for it? would rather repair the front wheel despite having a hope xc/mavic something-or-other wheel in the shed...

muchos thanks,

JT

Weldtite do little packs of bearings that are sold in most bike shops.

Otherwise simplybearings.co.uk - look under 'steel balls' or something like that.

IIRC the front wheel bearings are 3/16 - shop should be able to advise or check on the technical documents part of the shimano website.

They are indeed 3/16, 10 on each side.

Excellent, thanks chaps.

True to form, living life on the edge, I threw caution to the wind and ordered a pack of 50.

Whatever next? extreme ironing?

thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰
