My most worn shoes in the last year have been my AM9(01) and MW7 boots. Both are 46 and fit well.
Ordered new shoes from bike discount - ME7(02) and AM9(02), both in 46. I’d had a pair of the me701s previously which were warrantied when the mesh toe failed.
Neither of the new shoes fit. Much tighter across the forefoot and the lace cover/straps barely domip (I’ve got a high instep). They’re about the right length so going up a size almost certainly won’t work)
Are the latest version of the AM9 (903) the same or do I just have to accept Shimano no longer fit me (in which case suggestions please for similar alternatives).
I've had the opposite problem. I'm a size 42 in most footwear. My old Shimanos are size 42. The new models I bought in size 42 are a bit on the large side - probably half a size.
The ME702 came up small for me, I'm usually 45 but had to go for a 46. I also have a high instep but they fit quite well. The one change I had to make was use different insoles, I think the stock ones are quite thick and didn't make for a comfortable fit for me. Changing insoles moved the fit from a 6/10 to a 9/10
Don't they do two width sizes now? Changed a few years ago.

That would explain why the ME7 also have “volume + last” on the side of the box along with all the other stuff but unless the alt is volume ++ they’re still way smaller than the me7 v1s I briefly owned.

Looks like I probably need the volume performance last. Not clear of these are options on the same shoe or on different models. (Yes it is. Table at bottom, scroll right)
But that table says that the MW701 (which I have and which is a great spacious fit even with woolyboolies) is the same fit as the ME702 which is too tight with thin socks.
