Just received my order for one and im not sure if it is or not.
The ones I've bought previously were almost black, but the one I've received looks more like a std stainless steel one, possibly a little bit browner in tint.
Any other way I can identify it is PTFE coated?
I'll compare it to a brand new clarks SS cable at home later.

Actually, looks like its only the XTR ones which are black. Stand down!

Non of the shimano ones are black anymore, they have moved to the gore style coating.

Just had mooch down the shed. Have compared "my" new cable with the Clarks one, much smoother. Found an old xtr one too, seems comparable with the new one.
