They're the only pedals i've not damaged in some way (V8's included)

As strong as anything, and the bearings are as good as the day i got them, and i use them daily on my commuter, swapping them to a mtb when needed. they've even done the megavalanche

Very good, very reliable, serviceable, grippy (when long pins are installed), look nice, reasonable weight etc.

The only flat pedal that's better in my opinion, including all your silly priced stuff, is the Easton Flatboy. Nothing else comes close to the Flatboy for sheer mega reliability. I must've smacked mine into countless rocks, and barely a scar on them to show for it! Just about everyone I've met that has spent any lenghty time out in France riding also swears by them.

The Shimano's are certainly the best pedal if your budget is strictly £40, if you can extend it to £60 though then get the Eastons. Anything else in my opinion is either a ripoff for the performance, or grossly under performs.

the eastons don't seem to have many pins, is this a good thing or not?
