Whist removing one side of my Shimano XT BB the plastic ShimanoTL-FC25 adaptor snapped. I went to my local Halfrauds and picked up (as described ) - IceToolz BB for Shimano Hollowtech Installation. Well I simply presumed it says shimano hallowtech, it must fit my hallowtech 2 XT BB right? Wrong,did not fit to big, so I was wondering will this shimamo spanner directly fit my newish XT BB without the need of a pesky adaptor?

Shimano have 3 sizes of external BB cups - 39mm (dura ace / xtr), 41mm (ultegra / xt), 44mm (tiagra / deore)
The one you've linked to does 44mm bottom brackets.
Park tools BBT-59.2 is the one you want.
