Hi,

I've bought a plastic shimano bashring a while back and have been unable to fit it to my chainset (xtr). It didn't come with any additional bolt and standard chainring bolts just pull through.

Any ideas what i need and where to get them?

Yes, I assume the chainsets actually meant for this have larger bolt heads.

I bodged mine on with some washers that I had knocking about. I'm sure you could pick some up at B & Q or screwfix or somewhere.

Yep i have recently had the same problem. Looks like you will need a fixing bolt unit, part number Y1-FB-98010 as per here and available from Petra cycles.
