Im after an XT 11sp 11 - 46 cassette (anyone know of anywhere selling these??) a couple of sites in Germany are stating they expect some next week. Likely to be true or utter bull??
some shimano is getting through from the suez canal boat that got stuck.
wiggle (and a few other stores) have XT 12s long derailleurs (just got an alert and picked one up 5 mins ago for £90
i picked up a 105 11-34t 11s cassette last week, the week before an hour on google was fruitless.
just had a google and merlin cycles have your shimano cassette £95, if you've shopped with them before sign in and check your rewards section for a £5 off voucher
Thanks. I cant find that cassette on Merlin though?
Ahh cheers! i must have had some daft filter on cos that never came up. Life saver x
Shimano is coming in all the time, the Suez thing had very little (if any) impact on UK stock, may have had some impact on EU stock.
Problem is that say Madison, the UK distributor will have 5000 orders for Deore mechs say, from 100 different companies. They're getting stock in ordered a year+ ago when they didn't know all was going to go to hell so they have got 500 coming in, which is what they thought they'd want.
Everyone gets 5. Some shops will have already sold them, others will be selling them on their sites soon enough until they are gone.
With each cycle that goes by the lead time between drops gets longer, and the amounts get smaller with no let up in demand. I suspect the EU stores will be the same if its 'legit' EU shimano. OE repackaged who knows what they have coming. Its not fixing itself anytime soon.
Once I couldn't find a mech on Merlin when searching on the site itself but was able to by googling for the mech and it provided a direct link into their site.
Mech arrived as well so it was actually in stock too.
I had a product alert for an XT 12s mech from Freewheel yesterday. By the time I clicked the link they had sold out.
Thanks. I was only really looking because I had a 15% off code that expired yesterday.
