bike fettling on a less than tidy patio today and I dropped and lost the plastic screw/bung that blocks the cable entry to a shimano shifter. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to block the hole and keep the grime out? Anyone else done it and found a similar sized bung to slip in the hole?

would just like to say a big thank you to Dan (chojin) for helping a fellow cyclist......and a really sarcastic 'thanks' to the royal mail for managing to rip the envelope and lose the contents - 2 small plastic bung/screws and deliver to me an empty, ripped envelope 🙁 poo.
