Apparently the normal footpath is not good. Is the track going south to Achneigie and on to Shenavall any better ?

Would biking in to Achneigie be a better option than walking IYHO ?

Depends if you want to go for a ride or go for a walk 🙂
It's a bit of a push out again if you are heading back to Dundonnell but at least you'll get the downhill bit either way.

In that case I'd walk. I don't like riding with a heavy rucksack. It's not a massive walk in so time saved wouldn't be so significant to make cycling worthwhile.
