I'm running a 50t rear sprocket with the one up cage on an on one fatty trail.
A fairly innocuous twig got caught in the mech and ripped the hanger off. Six months ago it was a tussock. Both times the mech has bent. I've never had issues with hangers on other bikes or bent mechs.
Unlucky or is the longer cage more vulnerable and has more leverage when it catches? Or PLBSAH*?
