Two questions:

Can anybody recommend a good online vid showing how to service air Revs?

What options are there for the oil to be used? I know RS sell their own brand, but I've seen comments on chainsaw oil, etc......

google ' bikeradar revelation service' and you'll get the step by step guide with pics. It really is as easy as it seems, even I managed to do it and I'm a liability when faced with such things.

I did splash out to do it properly, using fox float fluid, stendec easy glide, and stendec 15wt suspension oil.

Download the service manual

and have a look on youtube

and check out the related videos.

Its really easy are you just doing a lowers service? You can just use 15wt fork oil it would be fine and you will need some grease for the wiper seals.

If replacing the damper oil you will need 5wt

Enjoy!
