I notice on the Royal Mail website you cannot use there Airsure or signed for services when sending items to Italy. Is Italy considered a bit risky? I am selling something on ebay worth about £150 weighing in at about 2kg so how should I send it? Thanks

Post in Italy is a lottery.

Well, no, that's an exaggeration. You might win the lottery.

You'd have more chance of it arriving safely if you used a Somalian pirate ship. 😀 Got a jiffy bag delivered here last week that had been slit open. Jiffy bag arrived minus contents. To be fair it could have happened before it arrived in Italy.

I’m surprised by this – I regularly send parcels to Extralite in Italy, and they to me, and have never had a problem. I use the post office, Extralite use an Italian carrier called DPD. Got some rebuilt cranks back from them just yesterday, only posted last Wednesday.

Not worth it. Would rather sell a mobile to some prince in Nigeria.
