I know saddles are a personal choice. Im after one of the above but need a little help in deciding. The Specialized is slightly cheaper, is it worth spending the extra for the Selle? (It's for a road bike)
A saddle is only worth buying if it's comfy enough for you to want to sit on it.
Go try em both out!
FWIW I really get on with the Romin, very firm but a good shape for my arse.
SLRs feel very narrow to me, how wide is your arse?
I just got a Romin Expert (ti-rails- hey there's a carbon railed version if you want more expensive :-)) which seems to be even better than the Toupes I've used in the past and a recently aquired Selle Italia Flite Team Edition.
The Romin is designed to be better on the drops than other saddles....but I guess you have to try them
I own both. Got numb nuts with the SLR and swapped to a Romin - I bought another couple for my other bikes.... enough said.
I went from an SLR to a Toupe Ti to a Romin SL back to a Toupe.
The Romin is nicer than the SLR but not as nice at the Toupe ๐
I now have 5 Toupe Ti's in service - it's the saddle for me
I think you will have to try if poss
I tried to measure my sit bones, and think a 143 would be the size for me, think ill go to the local dealer and get them both to try. looking on the net, Specialized saddles get a good review.
