I was thinking today as the oil dripped from my bike on to my clean flat carpet as it teetered on my wobbly folding bike stand if there was any market in self service bike workshops? Pro tools and a mechanic on hand for advice and guidance. I know there are such things for cars but i wonder if such a thing for bikes would be profitable, any thoughts?

Can't really see it there's lots of reasons it works for cars that don't apply to bikes. Buy a tarp and park work stand.

I'm pretty sure the bike charity cycle-recycle located in bfd used to hire out their workstations and tools.
