Did a Walna scar route yesterday, & looks as though they are resurfacing the descent that goes down into Seathwaite (coming from Stephensons Ground, which was virtually dry!), They've only done the very bottom bit at the moment, no idea if they will go further up?.
It's currently just a muddy mess so not sure what surface they will put in, but it certainly won't be the loose rocky goodness it was ๐ ,just hope they don't go all the way up.
Dear GOd no! That was one of my fav descents in the lakes!
Smeg did we bump into you yesterday? We were a group of 5 1 girl on red Orange 5 and 4 boys!!

it was great, but a lot of it covered in Ice when we did it.
Was planning on going back this year, looks like another descent they have buggered up.
how you holding up Lowey? things settling down any?
Don't think so clareymorris...only saw 1 other group out (of 4 I think), they started with us from Torver, don't remember an Orange 5.
Great ride & hardly saw anyone else.
We would normally drop down through the quarry's but decided to try the spoon hall descent instead, not sure if that's what we ended up doing or not though! Are you supposed to (if coming from top of Walna Scar) take the right hand BW here ?-

As we ended up in the car park we took a cheeky one to get us back across-

But think we may have ended up taking this -

Rather than the BW just below it ??
