Just done the South Downs Way in a day, which was one of the best and hardest days ever on a bike.
Any recommendations for similar long distance XC rides , pref in UK

You could have a look for Charlie's gravel ride. A bit easier but a far nicer route than SDW IMO. Not too challenging to do in a day either as its a loop.
