[#1540232]

Getting all excited now - my rack pack has just arrived from Chain Reaction and it's got lots of neat pockets and I can get all my clothes and stuff in it and have a nice light camelbak just for drinks!

And there's no one here to tell, so I'm telling you lot instead.

Doing it in 2 days this time, 9/10 May. Should be doable if we don't get lost like we did last time. (I know it's doable, people do there and back in 24, but I ride like a slug.)

Only hope the weather holds out...

Last time's photos are at http://emmasphotos.mediaobjects.co.uk/c1527452_1.html

I don't expect it'll look much different, except we're both a bit thinner (Mr Cooroo was in shock after seeing the pic of himself outside the cathedral, and drastic action was taken!)

My tip for the SDW it get two bottle cages and two large (750ml) bottles to get the weight of your water on the frame. I found this makes a massive difference. The public taps are frequent enough that this should be more than enough to keep you hydrated.

Sounds like you're already a long way there with your massive pack for everything else.

Good luck, hope you enjoy it, it's a great "must do" ride. Just back from a long sunny day ride with a healthy chunk of the SDW myself and it's riding fast at the moment and looking great in the sunshine. You guys will have a ball. More importantly, the cake at QECP is eating well too I can confirm ๐Ÿ˜‰
