I may have a couple of days spare in November...is there a prescribed route for this? Seems Carlisle -> Newcastle is the way.

Have they moved the border again? There is a long distance footpath along it I think

Hadrian's Cycleway? Sustrans route that runs from Ravenglass to South Shields. Don't know how dull it would be though 🙂

Hadrian cycle route, very very dull. Don't bother, never see the wall. Imo rievers route, coast to coast is far more mountain bikey...if that's what you want!
