[#4396215]

So i'm looking for some Rocket Rons to race tubeless. But the rims i've just bought are designed for NON tubeless tyres. So it's either the performance tyre, or the evo tyre.

My question is, is there any difference in the width of the tyre wall?

I've split evo's before on the side wall, so if the performance tyre is thicker, then i'll go for them.

Anyone know?

Cheers

You can run the tubeless ready ones with tubes in if that helps?

I've run Performance for a good while tubeless without issue, but there a budget tyre so the compound is hard - lasts a long time but is noisy on the hard stuff.
Trying Conti X-Kings now - like them but did cut the side wall on a rock in the Dales.

But to answer your question either should be fine, I'd go tubeless ready.

Gunna try and get my UST's on the new wheels and if that fails then it may well be evo snakeskins. More expense. YAY!

Thanks for your help all. Appreciated!
