I’m about to swap my conti touring tires for some Schwalbe Marathons.
The rims are magic open pros (new profile)
The contis are 32 but measure 33mm on the rims.
Do I get the Marathons in 35 (hoping they will be the normal 2mm smaller)
Or do I get the 32 Marathons and hope they are at least 32 on my rims.
I don't have a ton of space due to mudguards.
In my experience Marathons come up to the stated size.
Marathon Supremes size small, my front 35mm is ~33mm and the rear 40mm is ~37mm on my Marasa hybrid.
I expect the 32mm in the spares box would easily fit my Attain GTC road bike.
i find em a bit odd sizing.
got some 42c on my tourer, which are smaller than the pair of 40c i have as spares.
The 35c Marathons on my tourer (37-622 or 28x1.4) measure up 35 to 36mm on 19mm internal width rims. HTH.
Thanks hmmmm.... I might gble on the 35 and hope it inflates to 33ish.
I got 35c and its close on frame. Road surfaces are awful on my daily ride I would like more clearance. Sorry I can't measure actual width I am away.
