Anyone running these ? How are you finding their grip? Which tyre compound would you recommend pacestar or trailstar?Been reading the hype some comments are saying made for the american market and the dry weather they have over there?
Just like to here your comments.
Thanks

I was looking at these as well - seem like a beefier, grippier but slower NobbyNic
Had them on for a while, took them off. the grip was phenomenol, the rolling resistance was the pay-off. I normally run Nobby Nics, gave them a couple of months or so, i was finding myself slowing down due to rolling resistance. Noticed this especially on road/fire roads. their grip off road inspires confidence. not sure if they were trail star or pacestar.
they seemed to be able to find grip on everything except wet roots, and even there they were better than NNs.
Went back to NNs and noticed the improvement in rolling resist but reduced grip. Been rather wet up here in aberdeenshire - so been tested in mostly wet conditions. sized up big as well, everyone asking if they were 2.5" they were that big.
i have trailstars front and rear. i prefer the rubber queen 2.2 for rolling and grip about the same. i love the fact the dampf's stay on the rim when tubeless though 🙂
