Does anyone have real world experience of this e-bike? My wife is looking to get a longish travel e-bike for use in the UK and a bit in the Alps. I can't find any proper reviews anywhere. At £3400 current price with some good kit, Fox suspension etc, there isn't much currently available to match it.

Wasn’t aware of it before your thread but where are you seeing it with fox forks on the lower (3.4k) model. As the website says..
FORK: ROCKSHOX RECON RL SOLO AIR

If you want bargain tactic, you want the vitus or yt or maybe a voodoo?

Edit: hmm are you looking at a discounted model? For a bike that was released in 2018, it seems to have very little info out about it

OP asked about the Ariel E, not the Zen E

Well it's certainly not a looker!

Check out the 2019 Merida eOne-Sixty 800, £3375 from Motocard. Love mine.

It looks dated certainly, got two mates who've been on demo days and ridden one though and both said it descended like a falling anvil.

Seems to have longer, slacker geo than most E-MTB's which must help.

That Merida isn't a bad shout. Battery less bulbous looking. The small size is a bit bigger than the Saracen small though, given it is for my 5ft 4 wife that might count.....
